This dog is going to drive me crazy

She is as sweet as any dog can be, but she is spoiled. Too spoiled. She thinks if you have food, you should share. She thinks if someone is outside, she should be, too. And she is very offended if she doesn't get her way. I don't know that she knows she is a dog.

Sunday Morning

And I'm at home. I have missed more church in the past two years than I missed in the previous 40 years. First I was so sick for so long, now my grandson seems to have allergies that keep making him sick.

However, the Lord has used this time to draw me close to Him and I am reminded of how much I love going to church.

"I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD."
Psalm 122:1

It's Iowa

Only in Iowa does the grocery store host an "Ask the Farmer" Day! But, hey, they are selling grilled burgers for 50¢ so it works for me!

Why is it?

Have you ever noticed on those CSI shows how the crime scene is always immaculate except for the evidence? What is that all about? Does the maid usually leave right before a crime? Do these people not have children or pets? Maybe that's it! The best way not to be a victim of crime is to have kids and pets. Those things must scare criminals away.

It's raining again

Not right this minute, but last night. It's also supposed to rain tonight. Ugh. The only creatures around here who are relishing the rain are the bugs. The clouds of gnats could carry away a horse! I was going to do some yard work today, but that's off the agenda.

So instead, I think I'm going to work on my sewing or the church's web site.

Bugbites and Benadryl

I've always been allergic to bee stings. Now it seems as if other insect venoms are bothering me. Every little bug bite grows angry red and hot. Benadryl stops the itching, but it also stops the thinking. I don't like that. It is my thoughts that are the substance of my days. I avoid the medicine except at night and in the meantime, I itch.

Singing in the Shower

If you live in one of those houses where the shower turns cold when the washing machine turns on, you find out that an alto can hit a really high note.

Just one of the many tidbits of information that crowds ration from my mind.

Random

I miss my kids. Their lives are scattered across thousands of miles and I miss them.

I'm sleeping better. This is a wonderful thing! There are so many things about menopause that no one tells you…insomnia is one of them.

Hoops and YoYo make me laugh.

That's about it for now. I have too much to do to linger here.

Today

Today is Sunday. Usually it is one of the best days of the week. This Sunday however, I don't feel so well because I'm sunburnt to a crisp.

I've spent a good deal of the day trying to update and link all my blogs together. I think it's time for a nap.
